The event’s 33rd edition was organised around the theme “Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology”, highlighting the changing landscape of global tourism, digital transformation and future travel trends.

With thousands of tourism professionals attending the exhibition, Karnataka used the platform to connect directly with international trade partners and showcase opportunities for collaboration across multiple tourism segments.

Karnataka Brings India’s Heritage Legacy and Cultural Experiences to Global Travellers

One of the key attractions presented by Karnataka Tourism at ATM Dubai 2026 was the state’s extraordinary heritage landscape. Karnataka is home to some of India’s most significant historical and architectural treasures, offering visitors a journey through centuries of culture, art and royal traditions.

The state’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Group of Monuments at Hampi, the Group of Monuments at Pattadakal and the Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas, were highlighted as major cultural tourism assets. These destinations represent India’s rich architectural history, featuring ancient temples, monumental structures and artistic achievements that continue to attract travellers from around the world.

Beyond UNESCO-listed sites, Karnataka also promoted the royal heritage of Mysuru, known for its grand palace, traditional celebrations and cultural identity. The state’s festivals, handicrafts, local traditions and regional cuisine were presented as important elements of immersive travel experiences.

Karnataka Tourism positioned these cultural offerings as opportunities for international visitors seeking meaningful journeys beyond conventional sightseeing. The focus was placed on experiences that allow travellers to explore local communities, heritage practices and centuries-old traditions.

The state’s cultural diversity, combined with its historical landmarks and living traditions, formed a central part of Karnataka’s destination promotion strategy at the Dubai travel marketplace.

Wildlife, Adventure and Nature Tourism Take Centre Stage in Karnataka’s Global Promotion

Karnataka also showcased its strong position as a nature and wildlife destination, highlighting its forests, biodiversity and adventure experiences to international travellers.

The state is recognised as one of India’s leading wildlife tourism destinations, offering protected forests, national parks and eco-tourism experiences. Destinations such as Kabini, Bandipur, Nagarahole and Dandeli were promoted as key attractions for travellers interested in wildlife safaris, birdwatching, trekking and outdoor adventures.

The Western Ghats, one of the world’s most important biodiversity regions and a UNESCO-recognised natural heritage area, further strengthened Karnataka’s appeal among nature enthusiasts. The region’s forests, rivers, mountains and unique ecosystems provide opportunities for responsible tourism and sustainable travel experiences.

Karnataka Tourism presented wildlife tourism as a combination of conservation, adventure and discovery. Visitors from international markets were introduced to experiences ranging from jungle safaris and nature trails to river activities and eco-friendly stays.

With growing global interest in sustainable and experiential travel, Karnataka’s natural landscapes were positioned as destinations offering travellers opportunities to reconnect with nature while exploring some of India’s most diverse environments.

Karnataka Highlights Wellness Retreats, Arabian Sea Coastline and Experiential Travel Opportunities

Wellness tourism was another important focus of Karnataka’s participation at ATM Dubai 2026. The state presented its wellness ecosystem, including traditional healing practices, peaceful natural surroundings and rejuvenation experiences designed for travellers seeking relaxation and holistic wellbeing.

Karnataka’s wellness offerings combine traditional knowledge, modern facilities and scenic environments, making the state an attractive destination for longer stays focused on health, relaxation and lifestyle experiences.

The coastal region of Karnataka was also promoted as a major tourism segment. Stretching along the Arabian Sea, the coastline offers a mix of beaches, heritage sites, spiritual destinations, local cuisine and water-based activities.

Destinations such as Karwar, Gokarna, Murudeshwar and Malpe were showcased for their natural beauty and diverse visitor experiences. From peaceful beaches and coastal landscapes to pilgrimage attractions and seafood traditions, Karnataka’s coastline provides a different dimension to the state’s tourism identity.

By presenting heritage, wildlife, wellness and coastal tourism together, Karnataka highlighted its ability to offer varied travel experiences within one destination.

Karnataka Promotes Local Products, Business Tourism and Gulf Market Opportunities

The Karnataka Tourism pavilion also featured products under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, allowing international visitors to discover regional crafts, speciality products and traditional offerings from different districts of the state.

The initiative helped showcase Karnataka’s local industries while connecting cultural identity with tourism promotion. Visitors and travel professionals were introduced to unique products representing the state’s craftsmanship, creativity and regional diversity.

Another major area of focus was Bengaluru’s global reputation as a technology and innovation hub. Karnataka promoted its capital city’s business ecosystem and highlighted opportunities in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) segment.

With Bengaluru emerging as a major destination for corporate events, conferences and business travel, the state presented its infrastructure, connectivity and hospitality capabilities to corporate travel planners and international partners.

The MICE segment remains an important opportunity for Karnataka as global companies increasingly seek destinations that combine business facilities with leisure experiences. The state’s mix of modern urban infrastructure, cultural attractions and natural destinations provides opportunities for extended business and leisure itineraries.

Karnataka Tourism Builds Stronger International Partnerships Through ATM Dubai 2026

Karnataka’s participation at Arabian Travel Market Dubai 2026 created a platform for direct engagement between the state’s tourism industry and international travel partners. Travel agents, tour operators, hotels, resorts and tourism stakeholders from Karnataka participated alongside the state delegation, strengthening industry-to-industry connections.

During the exhibition, scheduled business meetings, networking sessions and discussions with Gulf-based travel companies supported conversations around new tourism packages, destination partnerships and future visitor growth opportunities.

The UAE and wider Gulf region remain important markets for Indian tourism, with strong potential for leisure travel, family holidays, luxury experiences, wellness journeys and business tourism. Karnataka’s participation at ATM Dubai reflected its strategy to expand visibility among international travellers and industry decision-makers.

The state’s diverse tourism portfolio — ranging from ancient heritage sites and wildlife reserves to beaches, wellness retreats and technology-driven business destinations — allowed Karnataka to present itself as a destination offering multiple experiences throughout the year.

Following the conclusion of ATM Dubai 2026, Karnataka Tourism will continue engagement with travel partners and industry stakeholders through follow-up discussions and international tourism promotion activities. The exhibition served as a key step in strengthening Karnataka’s presence in global travel markets and creating new opportunities for international tourism partnerships.
