Singapore Airlines has just unveiled changes to its First Class and Suites cabins for the winter season of 2025/26. The airline is introducing exciting updates to its route network, with new destinations, cabin products, and seat configurations. These changes are set to offer more luxurious and exclusive travel experiences for passengers flying in Singapore Airlines’ prestigious cabins.
Key Changes for Winter 2025/26
Singapore Airlines has confirmed their schedules for October 2025 which ends on March 2026 and it focuses on several changes to First Class and Suites. This is to guarantee that customers have yet another exceptionally delightful experience onboard.
Auckland Sees Regular Return of First Class
Starting in late October 2025, Singapore Airlines will bring back its First Class option on flights to Auckland. This is aligned with the peak summer season in New Zealand. The Boeing 777-300ER will operate daily flights on the SQ285/286 route, offering the 2013 First Class seats. Starting mid-January 2026, the service will upgrade to the Airbus A380 with the newer 2017 Suites.
Dubai Keeps First Class Year-Round
When it comes to enumerating locations that will always retain a First Class option, Dubai continues to top the rankings. In the case of the daily SQ494/495 flights which continue to use the Boeing 777-300ER, it will be disbursed through the entire year with First Class Cabin usage remaining unaltered, unlike the predicted switch to the Airbus A350 Medium Haul.
Frankfurt Loses A380 Flights Temporarily
Frankfurt’s route will experience a change in mid-January 2026 when the Airbus A380 is withdrawn, and the Boeing 777-300ER takes over for SQ326/325 flights. This change means Frankfurt will continue to receive twice-daily service, but passengers will experience the 2013 First Class seats instead of the 2017 Suites.
Jakarta Doubles First Class Capacity
Jakarta will see a substantial increase in its First Class offerings from the end of October 2025. Two additional daily flights on SQ962/963 and SQ968/951 will feature 2013 First Class seats, making a total of four daily flights with premium cabins.
Shanghai Gets Airbus A380 Upgrade
In a bid to enhance its Shanghai route, one of the two daily Boeing 777-300ER flights (SQ830/833) will be upgraded to the Airbus A380 between February and March 2026. This upgrade will provide the 2017 Suites, a more modern and luxurious offering compared to the 2013 First Class seats.
Sydney to Get Extra First Class Flight
Sydney will see an extra First Class flight during February 2026. A fourth daily flight on the Boeing 777-300ER (SQ241/242) will be added to the schedule. This will complement the existing Airbus A380 flights and provide more options for First Class passengers.
Current and Future Product Changes
As of 2025, Singapore Airlines has streamlined its First Class and Suites products. Only two seat types remain: the 2013 First Class on the Boeing 777-300ER and the 2017 Suites on the Airbus A380. The airline had previously offered four distinct products, but the 2007 Suites and the 2006 First Class cabin have been retired.
The airline has also announced that a completely new First Class product will be introduced on its Airbus A350 ULR and Boeing 777-9 aircraft from 2027, marking a significant upgrade after years of planning delays.
First Class and Suites by Route
If you are about to fly Singapore Airlines for full first class and suites, you can access a new list of routes per flight. These list of destinations extend through to March 2026 which enables users to stream line their travel plans. Very popular routes which include and are certainly not limited to Auckland, Dubai, Frankfurt, Jakarta and Sydney will continue to provide these unique amenities.
Singapore Airlines’ Premium Lounges
Singapore Airlines’ commitment to premium service is evident not only in the air but also on the ground. The airline’s SilverKris First Class Lounge and The Private Room at Changi Airport provide exclusive experiences for passengers flying in First Class and Suites. These lounges offer a relaxing environment before boarding, complete with luxurious amenities to elevate the pre-flight experience.
The Post-COVID First Class Experience
Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Singapore Airlines has maintained the high standards of its First Class cabins. A review of a Boeing 777 First Class flight post-pandemic reveals that the service remains top-notch, with most restrictions lifted while still ensuring passenger comfort and safety.
Looking Ahead
Singapore Airlines is set to develop its fleet and services further. New First Class offerings will be introduced in 2027. Together with the ongoing improvements to Suites, Singapore Airlines will remain at the forefront in premium air travel.
