Naruto-Themed Special Mission Returns to Awaji Island at Nijigen no Mori for Limited Time
Awaji Island’s Nijigen no Mori launches a limited-time Naruto puzzle mission at Shinobi-Zato, running from December 2025 to June 2026.
From December 20, 2025, a new tourism-focused attraction is scheduled to operate on Awaji Island, where visitors can participate in a limited-time Naruto-themed special mission inside Nijigen no Mori. The experience will be available through June 28, 2026, at the park’s popular attraction, NARUTO & BORUTO Shinobi-Zato. Designed as a story-based puzzle activity, the mission forms part of the ongoing anime tourism offerings that draw travelers to the region.
The special mission is identified as Volume 26 and has been developed as a time-limited experience within the Shinobi-Zato area. Visitors are guided through the attraction using a narrative-driven format that blends walking routes with problem-solving elements, encouraging extended exploration of the site during their visit.
Story-Based Gameplay Integrated Into the Shinobi-Zato Area
The mission focuses on characters from the Naruto series and is structured around an original storyline presented within the Shinobi-Zato grounds. Participants progress through the area while following clues and completing puzzles that are distributed across the attraction’s layout. The experience is designed to immerse visitors in a themed environment that aligns with the setting of Shinobi-Zato.
The storyline depicts a moment from the daily lives of two rival ninja characters and follows their joint effort to recover a missing item. As visitors move through the attraction, they encounter challenges that include tracking clues and responding to obstacles placed throughout the course. The activity is positioned as an exclusive experience available only within Shinobi-Zato during the event period.
Tourism Appeal of Limited-Time Anime Experiences
Seasonal and time-limited attractions such as this special mission are commonly used to enhance tourism engagement by offering travelers a reason to plan visits around specific dates. By introducing a mission with a defined run from late 2025 through mid-2026, the attraction encourages repeat visitation and longer stays among tourists already interested in anime-related travel.
For visitors exploring Awaji Island, experiences that combine themed storytelling with physical movement through a dedicated space contribute to diversified travel itineraries. Attractions of this nature are often integrated into broader sightseeing plans, allowing tourists to balance leisure activities with immersive entertainment during their trips.
Visitor Engagement Through Interactive Travel Activities
Interactive missions that require active participation are increasingly featured in travel destinations aimed at experience-driven tourism. By incorporating puzzle-solving gameplay into a walk-through attraction, Shinobi-Zato provides visitors with a structured activity that differs from passive sightseeing. This format supports longer engagement times within the attraction and encourages visitors to explore all designated areas.
Such interactive formats also align with travel trends that prioritize memorable, hands-on experiences. For tourists visiting anime parks, the combination of narrative elements and physical exploration offers a distinctive way to engage with a destination while remaining within the boundaries of established attractions.
Rewards, Merchandise, and Food Options for Visitors
During the event period, incentives are included for participants who complete the mission. According to the event details, the first 500 successful participants are scheduled to receive a limited-edition sticker, randomly selected from designs featuring the two central characters. In addition, participants who complete the mission are listed as eligible to receive one original Shinobi-Zato keychain, also randomly selected from character-themed designs.
Complementing the mission itself, themed merchandise and food options are planned within the attraction. Original goods created specifically for the special mission are set to be available at the on-site Konoha Shop. These items include acrylic keychains, pin badge sets, can magnets, and drawstring pouches, all produced for this event period.
A collaboration food set is also scheduled to be offered at the Ramen Ichiraku location within the attraction. The set includes a curry ramen inspired by one of the characters and an original bottle associated with the other character, which is noted as being exclusive to this location.
Ticket Options and Event Details for Travelers
Access to the special mission is available through multiple ticket options. A combined Gold Ticket includes both a Light Ticket and access to the special mission, with adult prices starting from ¥4,800 and children’s prices starting from ¥3,100. A Single Ticket option is also available at ¥1,500, with the same pricing applied to both adults and children. All listed prices include tax.
The event is scheduled to operate throughout the specified period within the Shinobi-Zato area of Nijigen no Mori. As a limited-time offering, the mission forms part of the attraction’s broader effort to provide varied experiences for tourists visiting Awaji Island during different travel seasons
