The Karnataka Tourism Society (KTS) is gearing up to host its upcoming series of Destination Promotion B2B Roadshows, which will take place in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Hyderabad from 9th to 11th March 2026. This initiative is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC), and Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd. (JLR). The primary goal of this event is to strengthen regional partnerships, boost domestic inbound tourism, and enhance Karnataka’s presence in South India’s tourism sector.
The roadshow will feature 45 prominent stakeholders from Karnataka, who will engage in B2B sessions with travel trade professionals in each city. The events will include informative presentations on Karnataka’s destinations, screenings of promotional videos, and interactive sessions that highlight the state’s wide range of tourism offerings. These will include heritage sites, hill stations, wildlife sanctuaries, eco-tourism activities, and thrilling adventure tourism experiences.
Following the success of the Central India B2B Roadshow Series, which took place in Indore, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Nashik, and Pune and attracted 700 buyers and 32 stakeholders, KTS is building on this momentum. The Southern India Roadshows engaged over 500 buyers and 45 stakeholders. The upcoming Andhra Pradesh & Telangana roadshow series is poised to further solidify Karnataka’s position as a top tourism destination in the domestic market.
Mr. K. Syama Raju, President of Karnataka Tourism Society, said:
“Karnataka continues to offer an extraordinary year-round tourism experience, with globally recognized attractions such as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, pristine beaches, lush forests, and vibrant wildlife. These roadshows are a strategic step to strengthen Karnataka’s visibility among the travel trade in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while fostering new partnerships and unlocking fresh opportunities for domestic tourism growth.”
Mr. D. Venkatesan, Regional Director (South), Indiatourism Chennai, added:
“I had the privilege of attending the South India series of roadshows and was truly taken aback by the overwhelming response it received. Domestic tourism remains the backbone of India’s tourism economy, and initiatives like these B2B roadshows are vital to enhancing inter-state tourism cooperation under the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ campaign. Karnataka’s diverse portfolio of tourism products makes it one of the most dynamic states for both leisure and business travel, and these events provide an excellent platform for stakeholders to reconnect with the travel trade and engage meaningfully with prospective tourists.”
KTS is gearing up for an exciting future with a series of impactful initiatives aimed at boosting tourism in Karnataka. One of the key programs set to take center stage is the Discover Bidar FAM Tour, which will introduce travel agents and industry professionals to the unique cultural and historical offerings of Bidar. This immersive experience will not only showcase Bidar’s heritage but also create valuable opportunities for stakeholders to promote the region more effectively.
In addition to the Bidar tour, KTS will roll out the Explore Kalyana Karnataka initiative, highlighting the diverse attractions and rich culture of this underexplored region. By targeting both domestic and international markets, the program aims to unlock Kalyana Karnataka’s tourism potential, paving the way for more travelers to discover its lesser-known gems.
To further solidify Karnataka’s tourism presence, KTS is also preparing for a series of roadshows in Gujarat’s key cities scheduled for August 2026. These roadshows will act as platforms for connecting Karnataka’s tourism offerings with new audiences, fostering partnerships, and expanding the reach of the state’s vibrant tourism sector.
