Hong Kong is preparing to dazzle the world this festive season by transforming its vibrant Central district into a spectacular winter wonderland. From 14 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, the city will embrace the joy of Christmas through a series of extraordinary events designed to reaffirm its title as Asia’s ultimate Christmas capital. With luminous streets, towering trees, and immersive experiences, “Hong Kong WinterFest” promises to be a season of wonder, light, and unforgettable memories.

A City Transformed into a Winter Dreamscape

Central, the beating heart of Hong Kong, will be reimagined as a radiant winter playground under the theme Winter Wonderland in Central. This breathtaking initiative will bring together art, light, music, and festive joy in an unmissable celebration. For the first time ever, the district’s skyline will come alive with an Immersive Light Show in Central, turning eight of its most iconic buildings into an enormous canvas of moving imagery and colour.

Adding to the magic, a magnificent 20-metre-high outdoor Christmas tree will tower over the new Christmas Town in Statue Square Garden. Wrapped in luminous ribbons and glistening with thousands of twinkling bulbs, this spectacular centrepiece will fill the heart of the city with warmth and wonder. The transformation extends beyond the square — Chater Road will be reborn as Starlight Boulevard, where over 30 trees and pedestrian bridges will be illuminated, creating a seamless glow that links the city’s festive heart with its world-famous LANDMARK ATRIUM installation, Noëlia at LANDMARK.

Christmas Town Returns with Joy, Music, and Market Magic

From 14 November 2025, Statue Square Garden will once again turn into a Christmas Town bursting with enchantment for families, friends, and visitors of all ages. This year’s design evokes the charm of a toyland brought to life, complete with vibrant decorations such as model trains, playful puppets, and gleaming spaceships. Every corner will radiate the nostalgia of childhood Christmas mornings, blending tradition with modern creativity.

The holiday spirit will reach new heights with live carol performances and special appearances from Santa Claus, ensuring visitors experience the joyful essence of the season. Starting 28 November, the Christmas market will open its 12 chalet-style booths offering handcrafted gifts, festive treats, and seasonal delicacies. From artisanal chocolates to limited-edition ornaments, the market will be a paradise for holiday shoppers and food lovers alike.

At the heart of the Christmas Town, the six-storey-tall Christmas tree will act as both a symbol of unity and a radiant beacon that lights up the night. When the clock strikes 5 p.m., Chater Road will shimmer to life as the entire boulevard bathes in golden illumination, guiding visitors through an enchanting outdoor lightscape that celebrates Hong Kong’s cosmopolitan yet deeply traditional character.

Noëlia at LANDMARK and the Sparkling Journey Through Central

The festive journey continues into LANDMARK ATRIUM with Noëlia at LANDMARK, an awe-inspiring 30-metre-wide installation featuring an 11-metre lighthouse surrounded by Hong Kong’s largest interactive Wishing Lake. Families, couples, and visitors can make wishes, capture dazzling photographs, and immerse themselves in this serene yet dazzling celebration of light and imagination. This installation represents not only artistic creativity but also Hong Kong’s commitment to turning every festive moment into an experience worth cherishing.

The Immersive Lights Show Lights Up the Skyline

One of the most anticipated highlights of the WinterFest will be the debut of the Immersive Lights Show in Central, beginning 28 November. For the first time, eight of Hong Kong’s most iconic landmarks — including the HSBC Main Building, Bank of China Tower, the Court of Final Appeal, Hong Kong Club Building, and the Standard Chartered Bank Building — will be transformed into a colossal stage of light and motion. Through advanced 3D projection mapping and synchronised music, the show will bring to life whimsical scenes of reindeer, angels, snowmen, and floating gift boxes.

This multi-sensory experience will create a bridge between Hong Kong’s architectural grandeur and the season’s joy, turning the cityscape into a living Christmas card. The light show is expected to become one of the most photographed events of the year, drawing visitors from around the world to witness Hong Kong’s holiday brilliance.

Exclusive WinterFest Delights and Festive Citywide Celebrations

To complement the holiday spectacle, the Hong Kong Tourism Board will collaborate with industry partners to launch WinterFest Delights, an extensive campaign featuring over 300 special offers for dining, shopping, attractions, and transport. A dedicated online platform will make it easier for visitors to explore all the festive deals and plan their perfect Christmas getaway.

Across the city, malls, hotels, and theme parks will join in the celebration with vibrant decorations, seasonal menus, and family-friendly activities. From dazzling retail displays in Tsim Sha Tsui to winter-themed adventures at Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park, every corner of the city will sparkle with the magic of Christmas.

A Grand Finale to Welcome the New Year

As the calendar turns to 2026, Hong Kong will cap off the celebrations with its iconic New Year’s Eve countdown fireworks show — a breathtaking display of lights and colours over Victoria Harbour. This finale will symbolise the unity, hope, and renewal that define the festive season, ensuring that WinterFest ends on a high note of joy and anticipation for the year ahead.

A Celebration to Remember

With its stunning visuals, heartwarming traditions, and world-class hospitality, Hong Kong’s WinterFest 2025-2026 will be more than just a seasonal attraction — it will be an unforgettable celebration of light, love, and togetherness. Visitors are invited to rediscover the city in its most magical form and experience why Hong Kong continues to shine as Asia’s most enchanting Christmas destination.
