A total of 71,230 Greek accommodation providers earned a Traveller Review Award, based on over 6.35 million verified guest reviews. Greek properties received an impressive average rating of 9.3, placing them at the top of the global rankings, tied with Croatia.

The Traveller Review Awards, now in their 14th edition, are based on data from over 370 million verified guest reviews, and this year, Booking.com recognized over 1.81 million travel partners worldwide. In the overall global rankings, Italy retained its position as the leader for the ninth consecutive year, with 214,666 award-winning partners. It was followed by France (170,596), Spain (152,292), Germany (111,685), and the United Kingdom (93,989). Greece secured the 9th spot globally, just ahead of Croatia, showcasing its strong performance among the world’s hospitality leaders.
Growth in Accommodation Categories
The Traveller Review Awards also highlighted the growing diversity within accommodation types. For the ninth year running, apartments were the most awarded accommodation category, with 901,481 awards. Vacation rentals followed with 287,464 awards, and hotels received 197,658 awards. The biggest growth was seen in campsites and villas, both showing a 15% increase in award-winning partners year-on-year. Traditional Japanese inns, known as ryokan, also saw a 13% rise in awards.
