Wyndham Hotels Expands Global Luxury Portfolio Through Strategic Partnership with HotelREZ

Wyndham and HotelREZ will add over 40 luxury hotels to Registry Collection by 2027, expanding stays and rewards worldwide.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has revealed it will roll out its biggest-ever alliance to add 40-plus independent luxury hotels to its Registry Collection Hotels collection. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ alliance with HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts will see it add more than 40 independent luxury hotels to its collection by 2027 across international destinations in Northern Ireland, Malta, Greece, Thailand and Colombia. It will also bring the hotels into the Wyndham global booking channels, marketing and loyalty programme.

The alliance represents a significant growth of Wyndham’s Registry Collection, which now encompasses over 30 hotels across nine countries. Wyndham has said it will cater to the needs of travelers seeking boutique accommodation with the familiarity of a global hotel presence.

This structure also opens up new possibilities for nearly 129 million Wyndham Rewards members. Wyndham Rewards members will benefit from expanded ways to earn and redeem loyalty points at new participating luxury properties.

Independent Luxury Hotels Gain Access to International Booking Networks

The Wyndham HotelREZ partnership brings together two businesses with different strengths in the international accommodation market.

Wyndham operates a global hospitality network supported by established reservation systems, marketing platforms and guest loyalty services. HotelREZ specialises in hotel representation and distribution, helping independent accommodation providers reach travellers through multiple booking channels.

HotelREZ also operates Elegant Hotels of the World, a collection of independently operated luxury properties.

Under the new agreement, participating Elegant Hotels of the World members will join Registry Collection while keeping their individual identities and operational independence.

This structure allows smaller luxury hotels to benefit from international brand visibility without adopting a standardised hotel experience.

Many participating properties offer approximately 20 to 50 guestrooms. Their smaller size often appeals to travellers seeking personalised service, distinctive architecture and accommodation with a strong local character.

Hotel owners will decide whether to participate. Wyndham and HotelREZ will assess each property’s suitability and complete the necessary onboarding procedures before adding it to the collection.

Northern Ireland Emerges as a Key Destination in Wyndham’s Luxury Expansion

Northern Ireland features prominently in the first phase of the partnership, with two established resorts joining Registry Collection.

Galgorm Resort

Located near Ballymena, Galgorm Resort occupies approximately 550 acres of landscaped grounds beside the River Maine. It combines luxury accommodation with its Thermal Spa Village, golf and leisure facilities.

Roe Valley Resort

Roe Valley Resort, near Derry/Londonderry, offers accommodation within approximately 155 acres of parkland. Visitors can enjoy spa facilities, dining experiences and an 18-hole golf course.

Both properties belong to Galgorm Collection. Their inclusion will strengthen Wyndham’s luxury presence in Northern Ireland and introduce the resorts to a wider international audience.

For travellers, these additions provide new possibilities for combining countryside retreats, wellness breaks and golf holidays with Wyndham Rewards benefits once participation becomes active.

Malta and Greece Strengthen Registry Collection’s Mediterranean Portfolio

Rosselli AX Privilege

This boutique hotel occupies a restored 17th-century palazzo in Valletta. It holds a MICHELIN Key, while its restaurants Under Grain and Grain Street have earned a MICHELIN Star and Bib Gourmand respectively.

The TownHouse Mykonos

The adults-only property occupies an 18th-century manor house overlooking Mykonos Harbour. It retained its MICHELIN Key in 2026 and offers guests access to the 54 Cocktail Bar & Sunset Lounge.

Both hotels strengthen Wyndham’s appeal among travellers seeking historic accommodation, Mediterranean culture and premium city or island breaks.

Thailand and Colombia Bring Distinctive Luxury Experiences

TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao

This adults-only resort offers treehouse-inspired villas, private plunge pools and coastal views across Phang Nga Bay. Its setting appeals to couples and travellers seeking secluded tropical accommodation.

Cinco Quintas Hotel Boutique

Located within Cartagena’s historic walled centre, the restored colonial property combines heritage architecture with boutique hospitality. It received One MICHELIN Key in the 2026 selection.

These additions extend Registry Collection into destinations associated with tropical retreats, cultural exploration and heritage tourism. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc.

Wyndham Expands Technology Access for Independent Hotels

The agreement also introduces a separate commercial arrangement for selected properties within HotelREZ’s Best Loved Hotels collection.

Scheduled to launch later in 2026, the model will offer eligible operators access to Wyndham Connect, Wyndham AI Concierge and third-party distribution services.

Participating hotels can adopt these commercial tools while retaining control of their ownership, operations and identities.

The approach reflects growing competition among independent hotels, which increasingly need stronger digital booking systems and international customer reach.

Essential Travel Guide for Wyndham Rewards Members

Travellers considering the newly announced properties should check individual hotel participation before making reservations.

  • Check availability: Visit Wyndham’s official booking platform to confirm whether a property has joined Registry Collection.
  • Review loyalty benefits: Verify Wyndham Rewards earning and redemption eligibility before booking.
  • Compare accommodation: Examine room categories, cancellation policies, taxes and resort charges.
  • Choose suitable experiences: Consider adults-only retreats in Greece or Thailand, or golf and wellness resorts in Northern Ireland.
  • Confirm entry requirements: Check official government immigration guidance for the destination and the traveller’s nationality.

Wyndham has begun integrating the first properties, but the wider expansion will continue into early 2027. Travellers should not assume every announced hotel already offers Wyndham Rewards benefits.

Northern Ireland Tourism Growth Adds Commercial Significance

The official tourism statistics for Northern Ireland are a helpful background to the partnership.

The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency recorded 5.1 million overnight trips in 2025, a nine per cent growth rate year on year. Visitors spent around £1.2 billion.

Just over half (53 per cent) of trips would take place this weekend for holiday reasons, illustrating the significant role that leisure tourism plays for accommodation providers in the region. NISRA Data Visualisation

The extensive distribution network operated by Wyndham worldwide can help each of the properties to develop further in international markets.

This alliance could boost Northern Ireland as a destination for spa tourism, country house accommodation and golf tourism – especially from high spending visitors to the country.
