At the 19th Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC 2025), held from September 4-6, the joint pavilion of Da Nang, Hue, and Quang Tri captured significant attention, earning the prestigious title of “Most Attractive Pavilion.” The pavilion, which showcased the theme “Amazing Central Vietnam Heritage,” was a vibrant representation of the region’s rich cultural, historical, and natural beauty, making it a standout feature of the event.
The pavilion served as a captivating introduction to Central Vietnam, a region renowned for its UNESCO World Heritage Sites, picturesque landscapes, and deep-rooted traditions. Visitors were treated to an immersive experience, with displays highlighting the cultural treasures of Da Nang, the ancient allure of Hue’s Imperial City, and the historical significance of Quang Tri. The region’s diverse offerings were expertly presented, emphasizing its potential as a premier destination for both cultural and adventure tourism.
Da Nang, known for its stunning coastline and modern infrastructure, showcased its growing appeal as a beach destination and a hub for international tourism. Hue, once the capital of Vietnam, displayed its UNESCO-listed Imperial City and other historical landmarks, offering visitors a glimpse into the country’s royal past. Meanwhile, Quang Tri, rich in history from the Vietnam War, presented its historical sites and natural wonders, positioning itself as a must-visit for those interested in both history and nature.

Technology and cultural highlights
At booth No. 221 (Hall A), more than 20 travel businesses from the three provinces introduced new tourism products, green tourism initiatives, unique festivals and events, as well as various promotional programs.
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, this was the first joint activity of the three localities since signing a cooperation agreement, opening up a diverse tourism space and creating favorable conditions for tour connectivity. By applying digital technology and interactive activities, the pavilion left a strong impression and was recognized at the expo.
With the message “New Da Nang, New Experience,” the city introduced three special “experience passports”: Food Tour, Heritage Tour, and Green Tour, offering journeys of cuisine, culture and history, and sustainable travel. In addition, Da Nang announced a stimulus program lasting until the end of 2025, along with a series of festive year-end events.
Strengthening aviation links and international markets
During the expo, the Da Nang Department of Tourism held several important meetings with major airlines and travel partners.
- With Qatar Airways, Da Nang expressed its desire to restore the Doha–Da Nang route, which was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to attract visitors from the Middle East.
- With Emirates, both sides gave positive assessments of the Dubai–Bangkok–Da Nang route launched in June 2025, while also discussing solutions to promote Da Nang in international markets.
- At the same time, Da Nang worked with Saigontourist and other leading travel agencies to update products, share market information, and show appreciation for their partnership.
