Air India Express is revolutionizing travel with the launch of its new twice-daily service between Nagpur and Bengaluru, designed to enhance connectivity and offer travelers seamless access to over 30 domestic and international destinations. This strategic expansion strengthens the airline’s regional network and provides a crucial link between Nagpur, a rapidly growing city, and Bengaluru, the airline’s largest hub. By offering convenient one-stop connections to key travel destinations across India, the Gulf, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, Air India Express is setting a new standard for affordable, efficient air travel, empowering passengers with more options and flexibility.

Air India Express has launched a new twice-daily service connecting Nagpur to Bengaluru, strengthening its presence in Maharashtra and further enhancing connectivity across India. This expansion provides travelers with seamless access to Bengaluru, the airline’s largest hub, and offers convenient one-stop connections to approximately 30 domestic and seven international destinations.

The inaugural flight from Nagpur took off at 10:00 AM and arrived in Bengaluru at 12:05 PM. The return flight from Bengaluru departs at 7:25 AM and reaches Nagpur at 9:30 AM. A special ceremony marked the launch at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, where passengers on the first flight were greeted with celebratory boarding passes.

The new route adds to Air India Express’s efforts to strengthen air travel between non-metro cities and major hubs. The airline continues to focus on improving access for travelers in smaller cities to key domestic and international destinations, and the launch of this service reflects that strategy. With future plans to operate from Navi Mumbai International Airport, the airline is further cementing its presence in Maharashtra.

This new route allows travelers from Nagpur to easily connect to the extensive Air India Express network, which includes destinations across India, the Gulf, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Air India Express already operates over 130 weekly flights from Mumbai and 90 weekly flights from Pune. From December 25, 2025, the airline will also start direct services from Navi Mumbai to Bengaluru and Delhi.

Bengaluru remains a critical hub for Air India Express, with over 530 direct weekly flights to a variety of destinations, including newly added routes to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. The airline has also expanded its international offerings from Bengaluru, including new flights to Bangkok, Jeddah, Kuwait, and Riyadh.

The expansion comes as Air India Express continues to broaden its network and develop more connections across the country and beyond. The airline’s strategic growth aims to increase accessibility for travelers, making it easier for passengers to fly to and from regional airports with greater convenience. The focus on connecting smaller cities with large hubs like Bengaluru aligns with the growing demand for air travel in these regions, providing an affordable and efficient option for travelers.

In addition to expanding its domestic and international reach, Air India Express is also marking an important cultural milestone by becoming the Official Travel Partner for the Hornbill Festival in Nagaland. This annual event, which celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the state, will take place from December 1 to December 10, 2025. To celebrate this partnership, the airline is offering a 15% discount on flights to and from Dimapur for travel until December 15, 2025. Travelers can use the promo code HORNBILL on the airline’s website and mobile app to avail of the discount.

Air India Express is further engaging with festival-goers and travelers through interactive and immersive experiences. At Dimapur Airport, the airline has set up a Hornbill-themed photo booth, and a community art canvas featuring traditional motifs has been installed at the Kisama Heritage Village festival site. The airline is also promoting the festival through social media by hosting a contest where users can upload their destination photos using the hashtag #XploreMore for a chance to win free flights. This initiative is designed to attract more visitors to the region, encouraging tourism while celebrating the cultural vibrancy of Nagaland.

Air India Express is transforming regional connectivity with its new twice-daily service between Nagpur and Bengaluru, providing travelers seamless access to over 30 domestic and international destinations. This strategic expansion strengthens the airline’s network, offering more options and flexibility for passengers.

With these initiatives, Air India Express continues to position itself as a key player in India’s growing aviation sector. By strengthening its network and partnering with cultural events like the Hornbill Festival, the airline is expanding its reach, offering better service to passengers, and contributing to the promotion of regional tourism. The new Nagpur–Bengaluru route is just one part of Air India Express’s broader effort to provide more travel options and enrich the travel experience for passengers across India and beyond.
