Air India Express Boosts Network Expansion with New Routes from Nagpur to Bengaluru and Pune to Abu Dhabi Further Enhancing Domestic and International Connectivity
Air India Express boosts connectivity with new twice-daily flights between Bengaluru and Nagpur starting December 2025, alongside new Abu Dhabi routes from Delhi and Pune.
Air India Express is significantly expanding its network by launching twice-daily flights between Bengaluru and Nagpur starting December 2025. This expansion strengthens regional connectivity while also boosting its Gulf network with new flights from Delhi and Pune to Abu Dhabi. These moves are part of the airline’s broader strategy to enhance travel options for passengers across India and the UAE, making it easier to travel both domestically and internationally.
Air India Express, India’s leading budget international airline, continues to expand its domestic and international reach with exciting new services. Set to begin on December 1, 2025, the airline will launch twice-daily flights between Nagpur and Bengaluru, marking the addition of Nagpur to its growing network. This new route follows the airline’s recent expansion efforts, which have seen it introduce five new stations in just two months, increasing its network to 60 destinations. Customers can book their flights through the airline’s user-friendly website, mobile app, or major booking platforms.
In addition to the domestic growth, Air India Express is strengthening its Gulf network with new flights to Abu Dhabi. Starting on December 2, 2025, the airline will operate four weekly flights from Delhi to Abu Dhabi and three weekly flights from Pune to Abu Dhabi, enhancing connectivity between India and the UAE.
The Nagpur–Bengaluru route will run with the following schedule, all times local:
- Nagpur to Bengaluru: 10:00 and 21:05 (arrival at 12:05 and 23:10)
- Bengaluru to Nagpur: 07:25 and 18:30 (arrival at 09:30 and 20:35)
For the Abu Dhabi route, the schedule will be as follows, all times local:
- Delhi to Abu Dhabi: 10:10 (arrival at 12:40) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
- Abu Dhabi to Delhi: 13:40 (arrival at 19:10) on the same days
- Pune to Abu Dhabi: 20:50 (arrival at 22:45) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
- Abu Dhabi to Pune: 23:45 (arrival at 04:15) on the same days
The addition of Nagpur to its network further cements Air India Express’ position in Maharashtra, where the airline already operates more than 130 weekly flights from Mumbai and over 90 from Pune. The airline will also be launching services from Navi Mumbai with 35 weekly flights to cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
This expansion comes on the heels of Air India Express’ recent route launches from Bengaluru to destinations such as Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. With over 530 weekly flights operating from Bengaluru, the city has become a critical hub in the airline’s rapidly growing network. Recently, the airline also introduced direct flights from Bengaluru to international destinations like Bangkok, Jeddah, Kuwait, and Riyadh. Additionally, from Delhi, Air India Express runs over 400 weekly flights, directly connecting 25 domestic destinations, as well as international flights to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Muscat.
The airline is not only expanding its routes but also focusing on enhancing the travel experience. In line with its new brand campaign “Xplore More, Xpress More,” which encourages travelers to explore local cultures and experiences, Air India Express has upgraded the interiors of its Boeing 737-8 aircraft. The newly designed cabins feature seats with enhanced padding, wider armrests, and generous legroom ranging from 29 to 38 inches. Each seat comes equipped with USB charging ports, and the cabins include ovens for serving hot “Gourmair” meals, refreshed carpets, and modern lighting. These upgrades create a contemporary, comfortable atmosphere, reflecting the airline’s dedication to providing a pleasant flying experience for all passengers.
Another highlight of the airline’s efforts to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage is the “Tales of India” initiative. This project showcases over 50 indigenous arts from 25 states across India, with artistic designs featured on the tail fins of Air India Express aircraft. The initiative brings to life regional traditions like the Warli painting and the exquisite Himroo and Paithani weaves from Maharashtra, creating a vibrant tapestry that represents the country’s diverse artistic legacy.
As Air India Express continues to expand and enhance its services, it remains committed to providing affordable and efficient air travel while ensuring a memorable journey for its passengers. With a robust network of domestic and international routes, along with a focus on customer experience and cultural celebration, the airline is poised to continue its growth and offer even more travel opportunities in the future.
