Organised by Messe Berlin Americas, the three-day business-to-business exhibition will bring together destinations, airlines, hotel companies, tour operators, travel technology providers and international tourism buyers.

Mexico Takes Centre Stage as Official Partner Country

Mexico will serve as the official partner country of ITB Americas 2026, placing its tourism industry at the centre of the inaugural exhibition.

The partnership offers Mexico an opportunity to strengthen international relationships with tourism operators, airlines, hospitality investors and destination management organisations.

Guadalajara, the capital of Jalisco, provides a strategically important setting for the exhibition. The city has an established business events industry, hotel infrastructure and international transport connections.

Hosting ITB Americas also supports Mexico’s ambition to expand tourism cooperation beyond traditional visitor markets and attract greater interest from international travel businesses.

The event’s long-term value will depend on its ability to generate sustained commercial partnerships, new travel products and stronger international distribution networks.

“ITB Americas 2026 represents a significant opportunity to strengthen tourism cooperation between the Americas and international markets. Bringing airlines, hotels, destinations, technology providers and travel buyers together in Guadalajara creates an important platform for meaningful business engagement. Mexico’s role as the official partner country further highlights its growing importance within global tourism. The participation of established travel brands and emerging destinations demonstrates the value of international collaboration. Events such as ITB Americas can encourage innovation, improve connectivity, support sustainable destination development and create new commercial opportunities for tourism businesses seeking long-term growth across diverse international markets worldwide.”Anup Kumar Keshan, Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Travel And Tour World.

Which Countries and Destinations Are Participating?

International participation will extend across several continents, demonstrating the exhibition’s broader geographical reach.

Confirmed destinations include Mexico, the United States, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.

European representation includes Germany, Slovenia, Norway, Denmark and Iceland, alongside Dubrovnik in Croatia. Finland was also identified in an earlier organiser announcement concerning the Nordic pavilion.

African representation includes Egypt, South Africa, Kenya and Uganda.

The organiser has additionally identified Quito in Ecuador as a participating destination.

Major Airlines and Transport Companies Join the Exhibition

Aviation and international transport will form an important part of the exhibition’s commercial offering.

United Airlines, Air Canada, Volaris and LATAM Airlines are among the confirmed participating airlines.

Their involvement provides opportunities for discussions involving international connectivity, tourism demand, distribution partnerships and travel market development.

Rail transport companies Trenitalia and Rovos Rail will also participate, reflecting the importance of rail-based tourism and premium travel experiences.

Car rental businesses, including National/Enterprise, ACE and AVASA, operating with the Hertz brand, add further representation from the transport sector.

The presence of these companies allows travel buyers to engage with multiple transport providers within the same exhibition environment.

Hilton, Accor, Wyndham and RIU Among Hotel Exhibitors

For hotel operators, the exhibition offers opportunities to establish distribution agreements, meet travel intermediaries and strengthen relationships with tourism businesses serving the Americas.

The participation of international and regional hotel groups reflects the importance of accommodation supply, commercial partnerships and destination development within the wider tourism economy.

Travel Technology Companies Focus on Digital Transformation

Technology will be another significant component of the exhibition.

Amadeus, SiteMinder, Lighthouse, Canary Technologies, RoomPriceGenie and TripMatrix are among the confirmed participating companies.

Their participation brings together suppliers working across travel distribution, hotel technology, payments, revenue management and customer services.

Digital transformation has become an important commercial consideration for travel businesses seeking to improve operational efficiency and respond to changing traveller expectations.

The exhibition will provide opportunities for technology suppliers to demonstrate their products and establish relationships with airlines, accommodation providers, tour operators and travel agencies.

Artificial intelligence, digital distribution and changing payment systems will also feature within the conference discussions.

International Tour Operators and Buyers Prepare for Business Meetings

Tour operators and travel distribution businesses will contribute to the exhibition’s commercial programme.

Confirmed participating companies include Price Travel, Miki Travel, Mega Travel, Norte 19, Dunas Travel, Restel Hotels, Tour Plan and Corsini Travel & Tourism.

The organiser has identified buyer companies including G Adventures, Intrepid Travel, TUI Musement, Trip.com, GetYourGuide, Audley Travel and CVC Corp.

These organisations are identified as buyer participants and should not automatically be counted as exhibition standholders.

According to the organiser’s October announcement, approximately 75 per cent of hosted buyers originate from the Americas, while 25 per cent represent other international markets.

More than 95 per cent of the hosted buyer group are described as decision-makers, supporting the exhibition’s emphasis on business negotiations and commercial relationships. ITB Americas

The organiser’s October announcement identified 40 conference sessions and 71 confirmed speakers. A subsequent announcement dated 3 November reported an expanded line-up exceeding 90 speakers.

Speakers and participating organisations include representatives associated with Amadeus, Expedia Group, Netflix and the wider international tourism industry.

The conference is intended to provide a forum for discussing market trends, commercial challenges and opportunities for tourism development across the Americas.

It will also allow participants to examine how technology, changing traveller behaviour and destination management are influencing business strategies.

Guadalajara Prepares to Welcome International Travel Professionals

ITB Americas 2026 will take place at Expo Guadalajara, located on Avenida Mariano Otero.

The exhibition will operate as a dedicated business-to-business event, with access intended for travel industry professionals.

Its official digital platform provides an exhibitor directory, conference information, speaker profiles and networking facilities.

For Guadalajara, the exhibition creates opportunities to promote its business events capabilities and establish longer-term connections with international tourism organisations.

The inaugural edition will also provide an early indication of demand for a dedicated Pan-American travel trade marketplace.

As the exhibition approaches, attention will turn towards the commercial meetings, partnerships and business opportunities generated during the three-day event.

ITB Americas 2026 represents an important development for international tourism cooperation, bringing destinations, airlines, hotels, technology providers and buyers together in Guadalajara. With participation spanning 61 countries and regions, the inaugural exhibition offers Mexico an opportunity to strengthen business relationships and support future tourism growth across the Americas.
